The beauty of being a little unexpected.
Michelle Allen began by making home objects to sell at a street fair in Encinitas, California. Her journey continued at Portland Saturday Market and art fairs across the United States.
Imperfection, humour and the slightly unusual feed her work. An object should be useful, but it can also make you smile: this is the idea behind Allen Designs clocks and accessories.
From those early markets to international distribution, her work retains its playful spirit. The catalogue also includes Allen Designs Disney, a range of character clocks. The four models shown here are currently unavailable.
